NOTES This paper was frist published in volume 6 (1954) of the Folia Archaeologica 1. The opening up of the settlement took place on the plot of Mrs. József Kelemen, the tombs were unearthed in the vineyards of Jakab Keller and the contiguous one of József Reinhardt. (The names of the owners correspond to the actual situation at the time). 2. A short description of the excavation is given by A. Marosi: SzSz 2 (1932) 62.; 4 (1934), 39-. The skeleton of a child is included to tomb 2, but the relatedness of the two skeletons cannot be proved (tomb marked in the following 6). The disturbed tomb unearthed to the W from tomb 4 is not numbered in the report (see tomb 7). 5. H-height, BRD-brim diameter, MW-maximum width, BD-bottom diameter, IN-inventory number. 6. The red paint cannot be seen any more, it has been stated on the report of the excavations. 7. One of the pieces has been lost during the war. 8. Milojcic: (BRGK 33 [1943—50] 122.) considers it as a typical piece of the Lengyel culture, from the later period of the culture. An exact replica, however, cannot be found in his material of Zengővárkony belonging to the Lengyel culture. 12
