Load test of the bridge. This image composed of three photos is the only depiction of the railway bridge of Szeged with trains on both tracks. After the dynamic test a static test was also conducted. For this 30 engines of the StEG were ordered to Szeged and positioned on the bridge at the same time. Some even pulled carriages full of flatiron. The load was 8000 kg/ m. Scaffolding to observe distortions of as little as 0.5 mm is visible in the girders. It was prohibited to erect scaffolding in the fourth girder, on the ship route. On the other side of the bridge the provisional bridge is still visible. The steamer 'Sava' is anchored at the river bank.
