In the 1960s, the dynamic mobility of society controlled by external factors, resulted in the fast absorption of classical peasantry. Consequently, some people again sound the alarm, as they incessantly have in the last hundred years, that ethnography is about to become extinct. It is not time to bury ethnograpy yet; the ethnographers have a lot to do. They must change, however, their notions about themselves. Several researchers manifest ideas similar to these, but the classical patterns continue to appear time after time. Each layer of society should be examined. Furthermore, it would be particularly interesting and useful to trace the path and the culture of the upwardly mobile peasantry and their descendants among other layers of society. 30
