A specific sphere within visual culture is represented by creative arts. Visual anthropology: The subject of its research should be in my opinion represented by following: a) the visual culture of man as a biological creature (the phenomena within the human perception of space, symmetry, colours) b) the visual culture of certain group, community in a limited space, time. Picture a) in a more narrow sense of word it is a mural picture restricted by real or fictive frame. In rural environment it has predominantly the cult function, later a decorative one. b) in broader sense of word it is a two-dimensional graphic expression aimed at figura­tive representation - i.e. one can distinguish in it a particular thing, phenomenon, hu­man figure. It is not restricted to the space limited by frame, however, it may be apart of a graphically considered subject, (e. g. painting on ceramics).
