is early pictures into consideration Mokry Mészáros Dezső can be coupled to Grand Art, however conscious, scheduled motifs can be observed in plenty of his later works. He drifted a lot during his life so his art was affected on different ways. There were only few people who could understand his personal goals, intentions, his situation was often beyond all bearing. Fortunately he had some friends who believed in his undertaking and strengthend his faith in art. The Herman Ottó Museum at Miskolc guards significant part of his works. In 1978 there was organized a commemorational exhibition presenting his life-work, which event was important antecendents leading up to publication of this book. 84
