Embroideries
cotton, cambric, sometimes some kind of industrial cloth; leather embroideries are mostly made on the leather of furcoats, sheepskin jackets and the felt of the feltcoats by furriers and feltcoat-makers. In Baranya linens of the household are rarelier ornamented with embroideries than garments. Their makers and users were peasant girls and women themselves. Headdresses of the Sárköz are similar to those of the Reformed people from Mohács and of the foot of the Zengő. They are characterized by a great variety of patterns as well as the extreme richness and meticulousness of technique. Presumably their ancestors were filet headdresses made of a black material Sokac waistcoat. R.n. 59.552.1 / I. 38 cms / w. 50 cms / Mohács Szekely waistcoat.
