Folkweaves

Croatian folkweaves, part of the exhibition serve as backgrounds for the other two as ornaments. Their weaving technique is simpler than that of the Ormánság people. One row of the pattern is threaded only once by holding together several, 6-12 threads depending on the thickness of the thread. Between the rows of the pattern 6-8 elementary weaves are applied. This is perhaps the most plastic of all weaves in Baranya.
