By now, most of the Roman fort has collapsed and fell into the Danube as a result of the river’s impact on the base of the plateau. Lugio was a border camp of Pannonia inferior , next to Ad Statuas to the north, and Altinum to the south. ?e coinage of Lugio castellum has not been published so far, and thus it is not known to the research community.
