Road (today Rákóczi Street), Pécs Among the participants was Imre Fejérváry, Lord Lieutenant of Baranya County and the City of Pécs. The museum profession was represented by Imre Szalay, director of the National Museum, Ernő Kammerer, director of the National Gallery and Mór Wosinszky of the national museum inspectorate. The city gave a reception at the Nádor Hotel, while in the evening the museum was celebrated with a gala concert at the Theatre. 4. Memorial sheet on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the City Museum of Pécs (November 27, 1904) The exhibition started with the natural history collection, the archaeological material filled three rooms and the Zsolnay ceramics one, while the art collection spread over two rooms. The walls were covered in old drawings and photographs of Pécs and its prominent sights. In 1905 the museum issued its first publication, "Emléklapok a Pécs városi Múzeum megnyitási ünnepségéről" (Mementoes of the Opening Ceremony of Pécs City Museum"). A few months later Arnold Marosi wrote his "Vezető a Pécsi ünnepélyes keretek között. 3. kép: A Pécsi Városi Múzeum első épülete. Pécs Országút (ma Rákóczi) utca 11. A megnyitón részt vett Fejérváry Imre Baranya vármegye és Pécs város főispánja. A múzeumi szakmát Szalay Imre a Nemzeti Múzeum igazgatója, Kammerer Ernő az országos képtár igazgatója és Wosinszky Mór országos múzeumi felügyelő képviselte. A város díszebédet adott a Nádor szállodában, este a Színház díszelőadással köszöntette a múzeumot. 4. kép: Emléklap a Pécsi Városi Múzeum megnyitási ünnepségéről (1904. november27.) A kiállítás természettudománvos gyűjteménnyel kezdődött, a régészeti anyag 3 teremben, a Zsolnay kerámia 1 teremben, a szépművészeti gyűjtemény 2 teremben volt látható. A falakon Pécs régi ábrázolásai, nevezetességeinek fényképei voltak. "Emléklapok a Pécs városi Múzeum megnyitási ünnepségéről" címmel 1905ben jelent meg a múzeum első kiadványa.
