In May we collected it at several sites, mostly along small brooklets. Lepidostomatidae Lasiocephala basalis Kolenati, 1848 Lipótfa June 13, 1987 1 9. It is a very rare species in Hungary. First it was mentioned by Kiss (1979) from the Bükk Mountains. The first specimen - until recently the single one - of Transdanubia, a female, was captured by the light trap at Lipótfa. It is rare on low hilly regions. Only two males were taken in the Zselic Downs, by Kaposfő. It has been captured at Kisdobsza (Nógrádi and Uherkovich 1988) and at Szulimán in South Transdanubia. Only five locality data were given by Újhelyi (1971) for the whole Hungary.
