Kaposfő Oct. 25, 1986 1 <Л First it was mentioned by Újhelyi (1981a, 1981b), from Magyarszombatfa, West Hungary. Later it has been collected at Bares and Bőszénfa (Nógrádi et al. 1985). Its fourth Hungarian locality is Kaposfő and it lives in the upper branches of Kapos River (Fig. 7.b). At this site Kapos is a nonpolluted stream meander­ing on pastures and in woods. Stenophylax meridiorientalis Malicky, 1980 Bőszénfa, Korpád, Pale (Nógrádi et al. 1985). The species was described a few years ago. In Hun­gary it occurs in South Transdanubia (Nógrádi et al. 1985, etc.) and in the Bakony Mountains (Nógrádiand Uherkovich 1985). A relatively rare species in South Transdanubia. It lives in the rapid streams of mountainous regions of South and West Transdanubia. Some specimens came to light along slow streams, e. g. by Tilaj (Co. Zala) or Pale, Sántos (Zselic Downs). It lives in the Bakony Mountains, too (Nógrádi and Uherkovich 1985), but is absent in the North and East (Fig. 8).
