It is on the wing only for few weeks from the middle of September till the middle of October. It may also breed in polluted waters, too. Later it was captured in other six locali­ties of Hungary: Kőszeg, Kocsola, Kisdobsza, Bares, Lipótfa and Nagybajom (Fig. 7. a). Rhadicoleptus alpestris Kolenati, 1848 Szulimán June 7, 1987 1 d\ It is a common species in West Hungary, e. g. Szőce, Magyarszombatfa, Daraboshegy, Őriszentpé­ter, Szalafő, Szentpéterfölde, Kőszeg. The single spe­cimen of Zselic Downs was captured at Szulimán. In recent time we collected this species in the Bares Ju­niper Woodland, too. These are the Hungarian sites of the nominotypical subspecies, another lives in the Zemplén Mountains, Northern Hungary (Oláh 1967).
