Discussion The Trichoptera fauna of the Kőszeg Mountains is very rich on the whole. Approximately fifty per cent of the Hungarian species occur here. Five species of them occur only in the Kőszeg Mountains according to our recent knowledge. Rhyacophila laevis Pict. has been published by Újhelyi (1981a, 1981b, 1982). Nógrádi (1985) wrote about the occurrence of Philopotamus ludificatus McL. Both species have again been collected since their first report. Further 3 species proved to be new for the Hungarian fauna and they occur only here as far as we know todav. Hydropsyche siltalai Döhler. It is often confused with other species, e. g. Hydropsychefuhipes Curt. These two species live together in the Kőszeg Mts. H. siltalai is not rare, several specimens were captured in Velem and in the Chernel's Arboretum of Kőszeg. As it is a species described in recent decades, its distribution is imperfectly known (Botosâneanu and Malicky 1978). Plectrocnemia geniculata McL. It lives in West, South and Central Europe. In the Alps it is frequent. The first Hungarian specimens were captured at Velem, spring "Borha-forrás". Later we collected further specimens near Kőszeg, along the stream "Hármas-patak" by lamp. Adicella balcanica Bots, et Novak. This species occurs in the Balkans, only. Its occurrence is quite a surprise in Hungary. Only one males was swept along the stream "Hármas-patak", Kőszeg.
