R.83. 148.2. (Cat. II. PB-№ 225). FRAGMENT OF VESSEL. Grey rim fragment. Edge of the sharply everted rim fluted. With brownish-green glaze. L: 3,2, W: 2,2, Th: 0,6 cm. R.83.148.3. (Cat. II. PB-№ 469) FRAGMENT OF GLASS BRACELET. Of D-shaped cross-section, with black and claret-coloured stripes. One end deformed. Incomplete. L: 5, W: 0,7, Th: 0,5 cm. R.83.148.4. (Cat. IV. № 99). L: 4, W: 2, Th: 0,2 cm. R.83. 148.7 (Cat. VI. № 53). FRAGMENT OF FRESCO. Light pink, with traces of a claret-coloured petal. R.83. 148.8. (Cat. XVI. № 24). AUSTRIAN OAK. (Quercus robur L.) (burnt charcoa 1). Mosaic fragments were found during the preservation of the walls and the earth moving W of rooms S, V, R outside wall W19: R.83.151.1. Room U (Blocks XVII, XVIII) Figs. 2, 71,100-102. Dimensions : N-S = 390 cm E-W = 490 cm Walls: N = W16a/60 cm S = W25/50 cm E = W16a-25a/45 cm W = W19/60 cm POINTS OF REFERENCE: 45 = 189,42 (top of wall W19) 46 = 188,59 (wall W16a-25a, top of Td4) Large quantities of burnt charcoal, roof-tile fragments and limy rubble had to be removed from this small-sized room. There was no evidence of heating in the room, which was presumably a blacksmith's shop in later times. Indicative of this were the bricks, the pieces of iron and the iron tools found heaped up around the centre of the room. The marking iron bearing the letters P—Q was also dug up in this area (Fig. 102). A tract of a red brick flooring set in clay was uncovered on the level of door-sill Td4 (188,59). Edge of the sharply everted rim flat and wide, with brushed decoration on the exterior. L: 4,3, W: 10,8, W of rim: Th: 0,9 cm. R.83. 149.3. (Cat. II. PB-№ 325). FRAGMENT OF VESSEL.
