Light in the circle Borjú fej alakú protomé, kerámia edény töredéke (TGYM). Sormás-Török-földek. Fragment of a pottery, in form of a protomé portraying a calf head. Sormás-Török-földek (TGYM). Hungarian archaeoastronomical research (Pásztor-P. Barna-Rosiund 2008, Pásztor-P. Barna 2009, P. Barna-Pásztor 2010, Pásztor-P. Barna 2015). Of interest is that the two circular enclosures were studied in the contexts of settlements which had a great importance yielding data about the development of the circular enclosures (P. Barna-Pásztor 2011). The results achieved during the study of the two Neolithic ditch systems uncovered here (including one that is a genuine Lengyel-type rondel) have provided fundamental arguments that the creations of the Lengyel-type rondels and the placement of the gateways indicate conscious planning, in which the Sun may have played a significant role (Fig. 19). The directions of the gateways that have been excavated at the Sormás-Török-földek site have provided information worthy of attention. When the Sun rose in the direction of gateway number 1 (15° to the north of due east ) at Enclosure No I on almost the same day it set in the direction of gateway number 1 at Enclosure No II. The legitimacy of this direction, or rather the date marked by it, is supported by the one 35 14.
