In order to improve clarification of the recently instituted democratic political changes, the Parliament decreed in 1994 that information on the past history of prominent public figures and other individuals of high profile has to be disclosed and it also decided that the documents of state security organizations working between 1994 and 1990 have to be placed in a special kind of archives formed for just for this purpose. The activities of the archives are: - It preserves and maintains the documents of state security organizations working between 1944 and 1990 as professional archives; and it also treats and preserves the documents of the committees observing certain people and people who had the public confidence. - It provides information and copies of the documents to the people whose documents can be found in the archives; - It guarantees the continuity of research with the help of documents maintained by itself;
