ARCHIVES OF SMALL CHURCHES ARCHIVES OF BUDAI SERBIAN ORTHODOX DIOCESAN The Archives operating as professional archives since 1970 is maintained by the Serbian Ecclesiastical Art and Scientific Collection. The material of the archives is 290 linear metres and there can be found written materials since the 17

th century. The church administrative and judicial records of the Episcopal office are from 1771-1950, its presidential documents from 1871-1946, church administrative documents from 1871-1950 and church judicial documents from 1743-1950. Church visiting records are only from 18051806. We have to mention correspondence/archives books from 1777-1886 and there can be found 7-8 linear metres fixed documents from the 19

th century. Records about instructing the Serbian education in Hungary are from 17711950 but the documents are only from 1871-1950. The archives looks after the records (1902-1935) and documents (1905-1949) of the patronate supervising the Serbian College, Tökölyánum - which was established by Tököly-Popovics Száva in the second half of the 19

th century - since 1900. The documents of the College, the Serbian Teacher Training College in Szentendre (1812-1816), the Serbian public schools are important documents of the Serbian educational and cultural history in Hungary. The archives continuously collects the documents of the Serbian parishes and has already taken over the written material of the Serbian monastery in Grábóc and since the 16

th century. The documents of the rural deans of Buda, Mohács and Szeged also belong to the Episcopal archives. The collection of church records (1725-1896) is of significant source value. Research of church administrative and judicial documents is supported with finding aids of the same age. THE ARCHIVES OF THE UNITARIAN CHURCH IN HUNGARY The Archives started its operation as open special archives in 1971. After the arrangement of the documents in the 1970s and 1980s its work was limited to taking care of them at the beginning of the '90s.
