Pál-Antal Sándor: Jogakadémia Marosvásárhelyen tanulókként. Az utolsó 1869/70-es évben számuk 89-re emelkedett, ebből volt magántanuló 10.38 The Law Academy in Marosvásárhely (Tárgu Mure$) The study presents the history of the Law Academy in Marosvásárhely. The institute was run within the Calvinist College of Marosvásárhely between 1866 and 1870. Its roots reach back to the 1790s when two-year law studies were introduced for students who had graduated from secondary schools and wanted to pursue further studies. Gergely Dósa became the instructor of the department and went to study abroad for this purpose. He was succeeded by his son Elek Dósa, a renowned Transylvanian jurist, who took over this position in 1830. After an involuntary break following the 1848 revolution, law education was resumed in the college in 1861 and, in 1866, it was transformed into a four-year law academy. The Law Academy turned out to be short-lived, and was closed down in 1870 due to financial difficulties and on the pretext of the coming establishment of the University of Kolozsvár. Sajnos, az iskolai anyakönyvek ezekre az évekre vonatkozóan hiányoznak. Csak a diákok egyszerű név szerinti felsorolását tartalmazó lajstromok maradtak fenn. 390
