Oktatástörténet - 1. Középkor és kora újkor - Simon Katalin: Az alsófokú oktatás helyszínei Budán a 18. század végétől a 19. század közepéig

Simon Katalin: Az alsófokú oktatás színhelyei Budán a 18. század végétől a 19. század közepéig Places of primary education in Buda from the end of the 18th century until THE MIDDLE OF THE 19TH CENTURY The institutional system and its forms of primary education were already established in Buda in the time of the emission of the First Ratio Educationis, in 1777. However, in the decades after the edict, we witness great changes in the city. The reason for this is, that the establishment of some of the local primary schools just began in the time of the emission of the edict in the suburbs Országút and Krisztinaváros. The new, so-called 'primary academy' in the Castle had to be fit in to the new educational system, which required more preceptors and spaces. In the first half of the nineteenth century, due to the growing number of the population of Buda, and thereby the increasing number of the students, primary schools became overcrowded and outdated, which caused serious maintenance problems for the city. On the other hand, new, confessional schools (Lutheran and Israelite), and the Hungarian national primary school in the Víziváros were founded at the same time.
