584 1921 request on our part that the Allies should not urge the cession until we have come to an agreement with Austria, of which we now have greater hopes. 1 The Representative of the Hungarian Government in Prague, Mr. Tahy, to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Count Bánffy. With the exception of the question of repatriation and the protection of minorities, the subject matter to be discussed by the Commission has now been dealt with. 2 The programme of the remaining negotiations is as follows : On Friday 3 the Czechs will submit a plan for the reorganization of dioceses and the division of Church properties, 4 which we shall only accept ad referendum, without discussing it. On Friday and Saturday, repatriation, and on Tuesday, 5 the minority question will be discussed, and by that time Ministerial Councillor Pogány will certainly have returned to Prague. In case Mr. Pogány should be unable to arrive in time, the Commission would ask for instructions as to whether it should return to Budapest, there being nothing more to discuss. To-day the Czechs proposed the adjournment of negotiations, but we insisted on discussing the question of minority protection. 6 No. 561. 3614/pol.
