IO 1919 July 18. Instructions were given to Baron Bornemisza concerning the manner in which the memorandum to the Principal Allied Powers should be delivered. July 20. We sent a Swiss national to Switzerland to establish con­nections with the Swiss press. A note was despatched to General Charpy, requesting that certain communist divisions stationed on the banks of the Tisza should not be fired upon because they are composed of anti­communist troops. July 21. The Minister for Foreign Affairs communicated to the Criminal Court in Vienna the documents of the Criminal Court at Szeged requesting that the 70,000.000 crowns impounded in Vienna should not be released. The Minister for Foreign Affairs went to Belgrade where he had conferences with the Serb Prime Minister 1, the Minister of Foreign Affairs 2 and with Kalafatovic. As a result, the Nation­al Government at Szeged will be permitted to send a permanent representative and a military attaché to Belgrade and a perma­nent messenger service between Belgrade and Szeged has been established. The Serbs emphasized their good will and readiness to lend assistance and gave evidence thereof by releasing hos­tages heretofore interned. For the discussion of details, Mr. Antal Magyary was sent to Belgrade and will remain there as the repre­sentative of the Government. July 22. The assistance of the French command was requested to protect the property of the municipality of Uj-Szeged when the village is evacuated by the Serbs. Intervention in Belgrade to permit Captain Csenkey, who made a forced landing at Szabadka, to fly to Szeged. July 23. The Ministry for Foreign Affairs made representations to the Rumanian Minister of War to obtain the release of Captain Stephen Petrovits, interned in Brassó. 1 Protió. 2 Trumbió.
