My dear Lord Halifax, In pursuance to my letter of September 25th, I have the honour to inform you, that I am instructed to convey my Government's very best thanks for your communication of September 24th, in wich you were good enough to state that "the fact that His Majesty's Goverment are at the moment concentrating their efforts on the Sudeten minority does not imply that the claim of the Hungarian Government will be neglected", and that on the contrary, as you assure me "His Majesty's Government have fully in mind the nature of this claim, wich will receive consideration at the appropriate moment". The Hungarian Government fully realise the primary issue of peace or war occupies the immediate attention of His Majesty's Government, and profoundly appreciate and admire the magnificent personal efforts of the British Prime Minister in the service of peace. 17
