HGHP XII*31,1957, Vol,IX/15-1G- 9 ~ 187 “ We are for the love of nan. That is the motivation of our witness, as it is the motivation of the coming in human flesh of the Eternal V/ord of God, The love for God and that for our neighbours cannot be mutually contradictory as both are Christ's own command,; The soul that cannot love his neighbours who are visible can hardly love Gcd who is invisible. And theology can be fresh and vital only if it engages itself with all the concerns in our people’s life,- In this season of Advent, our thoughts turn to the obedience of the blessed Virgin Mother: "Behold the handmaid of the Lord, be it unto me according to thy word", Nov; the mission of the Church arid of all Christians is still that of being the instrument through which the Word of God reaches mankind in fleshly realities. But the price is our pure motive - "Be it unto me according to thy word". May we His witnesses say to Him: "I would fain be to the Sternal Goodness what his own hand is to a man".
