Abslract: Investigation on the effects of karstwater decrease on the struetural and abundance relations of vegetation types supplied by the Aszófői—Séd karst stream was started. As floristical and coenologieal studies have been earried out in 1956 and 1957 along this stream, the comparison of these data with the results of present survey make possible the phytoindication of karstwater level changes. Information about the water supply of the riparian vegetation and the disturbing effects ean be obtained on the basis of the W (water requirement) and TV (NC — nature eonservation) spectra of the flóra.
