The operations of sewage and sludge treatment, as well as of disposal should be regarded an integrated system, in which the method of sludge treatment must be selected with due regard to the disposal contemplated.Disposal should be aimed at utilizing to, the highest possible extent the organic content and plánt nutrients present is the sludge, so that disposal methods combined with recycling should be given preference. Sludges containing no elements barring utilization must be stored, deposited but temporarily, until the conditions suited to recycling are established. Allownace should alsó be given to the fact that the sludge tratment costs of the larger sewage plants can be reduced to acceptable levels at the current, and especially anticipated power and chemical prices, by the introduction of anaerobic sludge stabilization alone. The sludge treatment and disposal method based an the foregoing principles is illustrated with reference to the example oi Kaposvár. Sludge, treatment, liquid communol wastes, sludge disposal. 1943-ban Budapesten született. 1961-ben a Budapesti Eötvös Loránd Képipari Technikumban érettségizett, majd a Budapesti Műszaki Egyetemen folytatta a tanulmányait. 1968-ban vízépítő mérnöki oklevelet, 1976-ban pedig környezetvédelmi szakmérnöki oklevelet szerzett. 1968 óta a Mélyépterv dolgozója. Számos hazai és külföldi szennyvíztisztító-telep főtervezője, műszaki irányelvek, szabványok, típustervek, segédletek kidolgozója. A Magyar Hidrológiai Társaság munkájában 1968 óta tevékenykedik, a Szennyvíz Szakosztály vezetőségének és a Szakértő Bizottságnak a tagja, a MTESZ Budapesti Szervezete Közmű- és Környezetvédelmi Bizottságának szakértője.
