A description is presented of the plans for an experimental sludgc-unxvatering installation serving the technical development of sludge unwatering processes at domestic wastewater treatment plants in Hungary. Earlier technical-economic considerations controlling the application of unwatering in Hungary are reviewed in brief and the reasons justifying the construction of the experimental installation are indicated. In this context the problems which the pilot plant is expected to answer are formulated. The preparatory work preceding the designing of the experimental plant and the considerations governing the selection of t.he technology (hereof are described. Under the expansion program of the existing treat ment plant at Székesfehérvár an experimental vacuumdrum filter will be added. The technology, composition of medianical equipment, contemplated capacity, material balance and internaí arrangement of tho plant artdescribed. Information is presented on the plant experiments envisaged, on the procedure of experimentation and data processing.
