A szennyvízelhelyezésnek ilyen j megvalósítása úttörő kísérlet lenne a Balaton környékén. Összefoglalás A tanulmányból kitűnt tehát, hogy-a Balatonkörnyéki szennyvíz elhelyezésének ügye hosszú évtizedek nehézségei után — mialatt egységes irányítás és hitel hiányában az élet parancsoló igényeinek hatására számtalan kisebb (csupán helyi érdeket szolgáló) berendezés épült túl nagy anyagi áldozatok árán — most végre a társadalom és a népgazdaság erőinek céltudatos összefogása révén a megoldás útjára lépett. Joggal remélhető, hogy a központi szennyvíz-elhelyezésnek a Balaton-környéki üdültetés és idegenforgalom nagymértékű fejlődéséhez képest mutatkozó elmaradása a súlyponti üdülőhelyeken már a harmadik ötéves terv folyamán felszámolásra kerül oly módon, hogy ez — összhangban állva a reális igényekkel, lehetőségekkel és az adottságokkal — nemcsak fokozott ütemű, de egyben gazdaságos és ésszerű lesz. Sewage Disposal Problems around Laké Balaton By L. Holényi Laké Balaton is the largest warm-water laké in Central Europe, and is, together with its immediate surroundings one of the greatest natural assets and main recreational as well as tonrist-trade areas of Hungary. The development of the Balaton area is realized — among the firsts to do so — aocording to uniform principles and with due regard to the mutual relationships of individual development branohes, i. e., on a régiónál basis. The outlines of the régiónál project, encompassing all branches of development and reflecting the above principle has been presented before an international organization at the Úrban and Régiónál Planning Exhibition, 1958, Liége, Belgium. In order to ensure the correctness of the trend of development, it is always remembered the main characteristic feature of the area, i. e., that Laké Balaton is essentially a standing body of water, a lake. The basis of the régiónál development of the Balaton area is the provision of essential installations and services in the area, without which the increased demands of recreation and tourist traffic development cannot be satisfied. Installations serving the disposal of sewage have been receiving tho greatest attention from among the public services, inasmuch as not only the fundamental sanitary and public health aspeots of the area, but alsó the protection against pollution of this natural asset are ensured thereby. Besides the increased requirements arising from thr recreational charaoter of the area, alsó the natural conditions (silty, peaty soil, high groundwater table, aggressive groundwater and fiat slope conditions) oall for special solutions and increased attention to sewage disposal problems in the Balaton area, relatíve to other parts of Hungary. These speoial solutions and the theoretical as well as practical aspects related thereto are outlined in the present paper, in whioh summarily hitherto unpublished theoretical and practical directives are given for those engaged with the solution of sewage disposal problems in the Balaton area. Particular natural conditions, the historical development of sewage disposal, tho scientific and practical planning principles, problems of technology and practical realization, investment, financing, construction and operation are discussed and thus not only the problem is introduced, but the practical solution thereof is facilitated.
