SzKI, Mátészalka Summary: In the world of fairy tales, stepmothers are always cruel, princes are always charming, princesses are always beautiful, good is always rewarded, evil is always punished, and everybody lives happily ever after. "The Ugly Duckling" is a parody of the well-known fairy tale of the same name. It is the story of a princess who is not blessed with "that invariable attribute of royalty, supreme beauty." After several disasterous attempts at matrimony for the princess, the king and queen find an unsuspecting young prince who has not heard of then- daughter's less than attractive appearance. They plot a scheme in which the prince will be tricked into marrying their daughter before ever seeing her. Of course, difficulties arise and the scheme is uncovered.
