The organisation published an announcement on Monday February 6th, which was distributed in tens of thousands of leaflets in the workers districts of Budapest. The announcement states that workers in Hungary today are nőt respected and that work is nőt valued. The political leadership squanders the product of work in the name of the workers. The standard of liv- ing is sinking rapidly and wages are worth less and less. The announcement calls fór the establishment of independent, free trade unions and workers councils, the issuance of workers shares free of charge, which ensure geniune ownership rights over the means of production, wage reform and the creation of a demo- cratic electoral law. On February 25th at 9 am "Workers Solidarity" will hold a national workers conference in the Jurta Theatre, it invites workers in Budapest factories and industrial units to take part.
