National Workers Council should have been forraed - it arrested the members of the Central Workers Council and dismissed the organisation by order. Rácz and Sándor Báli were sheltered by workers from the Beloiannisz Factory; they were only caught two days later when János Kádár tricked them intő coming to the Parliament fór negotiations. They were imprisoned fór a long time and nőt released until 1963 then they were employed as workers once more. Sándor Báli is nőt alive anymore; in 1982 the political police used extortionate means to prevent a funeral speech being made. Rácz is a toolmaker today, last year he received a passport fór the first time because of Western pressure and was invited by the American unión AFL-CIO to travel around the United States, then he visited England fór two days where he gave a lecture to Hungarians living in London. In October the American President Rónáid Reagan sent him a personal message on the anniversary of the Hungárián revolution wishing him well and success to the struggle fór a free and independent Hungary. The political police watch his every step. On March 15th he was arrested in his fiat at 5 am and was held until laté that night in the same prison where he spent long years because he was allegedly preparing to breach the peace during a national celebration.- 2 -
