EL NAGGAR (1966) described this species as new species G. emi- lei . altough it is the same as G. elongata , from the upper Pa­leocene of Esna - Idfu region (Nile Valley, Egypt). Description! Test medium, low trochospiral, dorsal side flatte­ned to gently convex: ventral side protruding. It is composed of 3 whorie. Periphery margin rounded, peripheral outline lobu­late. Chambers oval on the dorsal side, arranged in 3 whorls, increasing slowly in size. The last whorl is composed of 4 chambers increasing . rapidly in size. Wall calcareous finely perforate, surface slightly granular. Sutures depressed, almost straight on the dorsal as well as the ventral side s * Umbilicus wide deep. Aperture a low arch, interiomarglnal , extraumbili­cal - umbilical bordered by a lip. Diameter: 0,38 mm Occurrence : This species is found m large numbers in sample no. 7, Taramsa section.
