Stratigraphie range: G. imitata SUBBOTINA was first figured and described by SUBBOTINA (1953) from the Danian zone of Rotalia like Globorotalia, northern Caucasus, Russia. LOEBLICH & TAPPAN (1957) and OLSSON (i960) recorded this spe­cies from the Danian, Landenian and lower Eocene of the Gulf and Atlantic Coastal Plain. In Egypt, SAID & K ERDAN Y (1961 ) recorded this species from the Landenian of the Parafra Oasis, Western Desert. SAID & SABRY (1964 ) identified this species from the G. pseudo­ menardii zone (Landenian) of Gebel Aweina section, near Esna, Nile Valley. EL NAGGAR (1966) described this species from the upper Danian to the upper Paleocene in the Esna - Idfu region, Nile Valley. Globorotalia hispidicidaris LOEBLICH & TAPPAN (pl. Description : Test large, low trochospiral, dorsal side gently convex, ventral side strongly convex, composed of 3 whorls. E­quatorial periphery circular, gently lobate: axial periphery angular. Chambers on the dorsal side 15 increase gradually in size arranged in 3 whorls. The last whorl is composed of 6 lar­ge, nearly quadrangular chambers. Wall calcareous, perforate, surface rough, distinctly spinose. Sutures on the dorsal side curved, on the ventral side radial, incised. Umbilicus deep,
