Stratigraphie range: G. imitata SUBBOTINA was first figured and described by SUBBOTINA (1953) from the Danian zone of Rotalia like Globorotalia, northern Caucasus, Russia. LOEBLICH & TAPPAN (1957) and OLSSON (i960) recorded this species from the Danian, Landenian and lower Eocene of the Gulf and Atlantic Coastal Plain.
