Description : Test medium, low trochospiral, compressed, dorsal side almost flat, umbilical side moderately convex; composed of 2 -s- whorls. Equatorial periphery elongate, slightly lobate; axial periphery acute. Chambers compressed, about 12 on the dorsal side arranged in 2 i whorls. The last whorl is composed 1 of 4 2 chambers increasing rapidly in size, the last chamberconstitutes about 1/3 of the test. Wall calcareous, perforate, surface smooth. Sutures on the dorsal side curved, strongly depressed, on the ventral side radial. Umbilicus wide open. Aperture a low arch, irteriomarginal , extraumbilical - umbilical. Diameter: 0,38 mm Occurrence : Some specimens of this species occur in the G.pseu domenardii zone of the Taramsa section. Stratigraphie range: BOLLI (1957) recorded this species from the Paleocene of the lower Lizard Springs formation in Trinidad, where he considered it to range through the G. pseudome nardii - G. velascoensis zones. This species was also recorded from the Paleocene of the Gulf and Atlantic Coastal Plain and in New Jersey Coastal Plain (LOEBLICH & TAPPAN, 1957; OLSSON, I960). HILLEBRANDT (1962) found this species in zone "P" in the basin of Reichenhall and Salzburg, which he considered to be a Landenian age.
