This zone is of world wide distribution. In Trinidad BOLLI (1957) recorded this zone from the lower Lizard Springs formation. It is equivalent to the G.uncinata zone recorded by BOLLI & CITA (i960) from the Paderno d*Adda section in northern Italy. BOLLI & CITA (I960) assigned the age of this zone to the upper Danian; MOROZOVA (i960) attributed it also to the upper Danian in Russia. This zone is equivalent with zone "B" in the Basin of Reichenhall and Salzburg by HILLEBRANDT (1962) and in the same time with G.inconst ans-uncinata zone in Spain (HILLEBRANDT, 1965), which he attributed to the upper Danian. 4. Globorotalia angulata / pusilla pusilla zone (Montian) This zone is marked by the flood of Globorotalia angulata and its subspecies abundocamerata together with Globorota lia pusilla pusilla. It is characterized also by the first appearance of the following species: Globigerina incisa , G. imitata , G. chascanona , Globorota- lia perclara , G. compressa , G. apenthesma , G. broedermanni and G. pseudoiota . This zone is equivalent with the G. pusilla pusilla zone from the lower Lizard Springs formation in Trinidad (BOLLI, 1957), and with the G. pseudobulloides subzone of the Gulf & Atlantic Coastal Plain (LOEBLICH & TAPPAN, 1957). This zone can be correlated with "Tuffeau glauconieux supérieur" in Holland (HOPKER I96I) of Montian age. This zone is the same as zone C&D of HILLEBRANDT (1962) in Austria and concides with the G. pusilla zones in Spain (HILLEBRANDT 1965) of Montian age. 5, Globorotalia pseudomenardii zone (Lcjidenian) This zone is characterized bu the flood of G. pseudomenar dii together with: Globorotalia angulata , G. triloculinoides , Globorota! ia aequa , G. white! , G. convexa , G. elongata , G. hispidicida ris , G. simulatilis and Chiloguembelina morisei .
