E-mail: p. chen@minln v.nl Abstract - Tenagobia boliviana sp. n. is described from Bolivia and compared with related species by a revised key to the subgenus Tenagobia BERG ROTH, 1899. In addition, distinguishing characteristics of the species of subgenus Fasciagobia NlESER, 1977 are discussed. Keywords - Heteroptera, Nepomorpha, Micronectidae, Tenagobia, new species, Bolivia. INTRODUCTION While checking aquatic Heteroptera in the collection of the Department of Zoology of the Hungarian Natural History Museum (Budapest), we came across a new species of Tenagobia BERG ROTH, 1899, which is described below. Moreover additional material of the two species of the subgenus Fasciagobia NlESER, 1977 has been studied. The specimens of the new species, T. boliviana sp. n. are deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest (HNHM) unless otherwise indicated, whereas the specimens of species of the subgenus Fasciagobia are deposited in the NlESER Collection, Tiel, the Netherlands (NCTN), unless otherwise indicated. The family Micronectidae (NlESER 2002) was until recently represented in the New World by one genus: Tenagobia BERG ROTH, 1899.
