Lithuania, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia (Central, North and South European Territory), Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sveden, Switzerland, Ukraine, Yugoslavia in Europe; Kazakhstan, Russia (East and West Siberia, Far East), Turkey in Asia. Bembidion (Bembidionetolitzkya) geniculatum HEER, 1837 (Fig. 3) - [Veszprém m.,] Bakony: Fenyőfő, [probably between 1910 and 1930,] leg. A. SCHMIDT (2 HNHM, 1, NHMB). Identified by GY. SZÉL in 2005. - In the Carpathians it is a widely distributed and not uncommon species, living on gravelly or stony banks of running waters (HÛRKA 1996). Its occurrence in the Mecsek Mts is doubtful, although cannot be excluded (TALLÓSI et al. 2006). LÖBL & SMETANA (2003) did not mention it from Hungary, but listed the following European countries: Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Faroe Islands, France, Great Britain, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Moldavia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro). Bembidion (Ocydromus) cruciatum bualei JACQUELIN DU VAL, 1852 (Fig. 5) -Budapest, 15. IX. 1907, leg. I. GURÁNYI. (1, HNHM). Identified by GY. SZÉL in 2006. - This species was mentioned under the synonymous name B. andreae AHRENS, 1812 by CSÍKI (1946) as being a relatively frequent ground beetle in Hungary. However, he did not give any exact locality within the present borders of Hungary. ENDRŐDI (1974) recorded it from Nógrádverőce, but the original specimen is lost. There are records from the Kőszeg Mts (NAGY et al. 2004), but the specimens that could be examined proved to be B. (Ocydromus) femoratum STURM, 1825 (Fig. 6). Also listed by ÁDÁM (1996) based probably on literature mentions - there is no evidence of him having examined any Hungarian specimens. According to LÖBL & SMETANA (2003) it is recorded from the following European countries: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Great Britain, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro). Chlaenius (Chlaeniellus) terminatus DEJEAN, 1826 (Fig. 9) - [Csongrád m.,] Szeged, 6. VII. 1936, leg. V. STILLER (1, HNHM); [Csongrád m.,] Csongrád, les [= light trap], 24. VI. 2003, leg. F. KÁDÁR (1, HNHM). Identified by GY. SZÉL in 2005. - It was mentioned neither by HORVATOVICH (1993), nor by ÁDÁM (1996) and absent also from the older monographs of J. FRIVALDSZKY (1874), KUTHY (1897), CSIKI (1905-1908, 1946) as a species living in the Carpathian Basin. It is a Southern European species, therefore not treated by MÜLLER-MOTZFELD (2004). LÖBL & SMETANA (2003) recorded it from the following European countries:
