D. japonicus Kirby 25 (24) Larger, 9-11 mm. Black. Wings hyaline. Penis valve different. 26 (27) Penis valve in Haris 2000, Fig. 197. 9.0-9.5 mm. D. armillatus Konow 27 (26) Penis valve in Fig. 4. 9.0-11.0 mm. D. subfasciatus Smith 28 (21) Legs entirely black. Head strongly contracted behind the eyes. Red spots on the mesopleuron, mesoscutellum and mesonotum. 9.0-10.0 mm. D. harukawai Waterston Dolerus osmanicus sp. n. Body entirely shining black. Wings subhyaline. Cenchri brown. Venation and costa black. Stigma dark brownish black. Vertex and temples shining, roughly and deeply punctured. Head strongly dilated behind the eyes. Ratios of the antennái segments = 10:6:26:24:21:19:15:15:16. OOL:POL:OCL - 18:11:17. Clypeus roundly emarginated, about 1/3 times as deep as its median length. Pronotum and propleuron densely, moderately roughly sculptured with subparallel short fine wrinkles. Mesonotum shining, densely, moderately roughly, deeply and uniformly punctured. Mesopleuron roughly, deeply and densely punctured. Mesoscutellum densely, deeply and roughly punctured without shining interspaces. Mesoscutellar appendage moderately densely punctured with small and deep punctures with shining interspaces. Postscutellum moderately densely and moderately deeply punctured with small punctures. Ratios of the tarsal segments, without claws = 23:15:12:9:13. Claws with small inner teeth. Length of a cenchrus : distance between cenchri = 17:19. Pubescence short, moderately dense, whitish. First abdominal tergite smooth and shining, the others with fine transverse surface sculpture. Sawsheat moderately but clearly dilated as figured in Fig. 5. Serrulae 3-5 in Fig. 8. Large species: 11.0 mm. Holotype — Female: Karacabey, Brussa, As. Min, 1928. IV. 30, Ajtai. The holotype is deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest. The new species is closely related to Dolerus puncticollis Thomson, 1871. Dolerus puncticollis has legs coloured with reddish yellow. The distance is shorter between the serrulae of D. puncticollis (Fig. 2 in Haris 2000) than that of D. osmanicus sp. n. (Fig. 8). D. puncticollis never reaches the 11.0 mm, its length is 8.0-9.0 mm. The new species also resembles to Dolerus novograblenovi Malaise, 1931, known from Kamchatka and Korea. The structure of serrulae clearly separates the two species. D. novograblenovi has serrulae with straight dorsal edge as figured in Haris 2000, Fig. 29.
