Most of the male specimens of Tabanus glaucopis were collected at the station in Senj, on the margin of a forest consisting of oaktrees and white hornbeams of the association Querco-Carpinetum orientális, the air temperature was 25°C. Males of Tabanus shannonellus were collected in July, in the morning hours, at the air temperature of 24°C while they were alighting on a red car parked in a complex of oak-trees Quercus pubescens.
