Etymology — The species name "tumidulus" refers to the swollen scape. Description of the male holotype. — Body 7 mm long. Scape in lateral view short and broadening basally, 1.5 times as long as broad (Fig. 1, see arrows). Flagellomeres 1-4 4.5 times as long as broad apically, further flagellomeres gradually shortening. Pedicel and flagallomeres with errect and long setae. — Head in dorsal view between eyes 1.4 times as wide as mesosoma between tegulae. In dorsal view temple convex, eye twice as Figs 1-14. — 1-8.
