long as temple. Ocelli middle sized, POL less than twice as long as greatest diameter of hind ocellus; anterior ocellus distinctly beyond imaginary line between antennái toruli (Fig. 2). Malar space short, one-sixth as long as length of eye. Lateral corner of clypeus as well as its fore margin medially somewhat produced (Fig. 3). Mandible pointed and with two subteeth. Head polished. Clypeus laterally with transverse (Fig. 3) and face laterally and anteriorly with concentric fine striation. Mesosoma polished. Mesoscutum in lateral view high and its anterior part perpendicularly joining pronotum (Fig. 4, see arrow). Anterior transverse groove of propodeon crenulate (Fig. 5). — Hind femur 4.3 times as long as broad proximally (Fig. 6). Fore wing: second submarginal cell subpetiolate (see horizontal arrow), proximal fifth of vein Rs2 (see vertical arrow) desclerotized (Fig. 7). Metasoma broad, at third tergite one-fourth broader than mesosoma between tegulae. First tergite a bit broader than long, second tergite 2.4 times broader than long medially, second tergite 1.8 times broader than first tergite (Fig. 8, see arrows). Tergites polished with hairpunctures. Scape and pedicel yellow, flagellum brown. Head dark brown, clypeus and mandible yellow, palpi light yellow. Mesosoma yellow, tegulae light yellow, metasoma light brown, margin of tergites 1-2 yellow. Legs light yellow. Wings hyaline, pterostigma dark brown, veins yellowish to brownish. Female unknown. Distribution: Argentina. The new species, Plumarius tumidulus, is nearest to P. baloghi Nagy, 1973 considering the form of their head in dorsal view, anterior ocellus clearly beyond imaginary line between toruli and colour of body; the two species are distinguished by the following features: 1 (2) In lateral view scape cylindrical and faintly bent, 2.5 times as long as broad (Fig. 9, see arrows). Ocelli small, POL distinctly twice as long as diameter of hind ocellus (Fig. 10). Anterior transverse groove of propodeon with fine sculpture (Fig. 11). In lateral view mesoscutum obliquely joining pronotum (Fig. 12, see arrow). Occiput in dorsal view convex (Fig. 10). Metasoma less broadening posteriorly, second tergite 1.2 times broader than first tergite (Fig. 13, see arrows). Hind femur five times as long as broad medially (Fig. 14). Mesosoma brown. G: 4-5 mm. — Chile P. baloghi Nagy 2(1) In lateral view scape broadening basally, 1.5 times as long as broad (Fig. 1, see arrows). Ocelli less small, POL less than twice as long as diameter of hind ocellus (Fig. 2). Anterior transverse groove of propodeon crenulate (Fig. 5). In lateral view mesoscutum perpendicularly joining pronotum (Fig. 4, see arrow). Occiput in dorsal view convex (Fig. 2). Metasoma more broadening, second tergite 1.7 times broader than first tergite (Fig. 8, see arrows). Hind femur 4.3 times as long as broad proximally (Fig. 6). Mesosoma yellow. G: 7 mm. — Argentina P. tumidulus sp. n.
