Description of the female lectotype of Bracon mauritanicus - Body 7 mm long. Head in dorsal view (Fig. 29) transverse, 1.8 times as broad as long, eye just protruding and a bit longer than temple, latter rounded, occiput moderately excavated. Ocelli small, round, distance between fore and hind ocelli slightly longer than diameter of an ocellus, OOL just less than twice as long as POL. Eye in lateral view 1.59 times as high as wide, temple behind eye nearly evenly broad and slightly less wide than eye (Fig. 30). Malar space long, slightly longer than basal width of mandible, oral opening also a bit wider horizontally than malar space. Head polished. Face, temple behind and head above cov­ered with relatively long blackish hairs. - Antenna as long as body and with 48 antenno­meres. First flagellomere 1.42 times as long as broad, second to seventh-eighth flagello­meres gradually shortening so that further flagellomeres cubic and flagellum itself dis­tally somewhat attenuating. Mesosoma in lateral view 1.55 times as long as high. Notaulix distinct, evenly and moderately deep. Prescutellar furrow narrow. Mesosoma polished. - Hind femur (Fig. 31) 3.4 times as long as broad at middle. Hind basitarsus as long as tarsomeres 2-3. Figs 29-35.
