Designation of the female holotype of Bracon colpophorus: "5. 11." (first label, hand­writing) - "Coll. Wesmael" (second label, printed) - "2059" (third label, printed) ­"Braco 2 colpophorus mihi" (handwriting) "dét. C. Wesmael" (printed, fourth label) ­"Belgique Bruxelles leg. Wesmael" (above on label) "teste J. Papp 1987" (reverse on la­bel) (fifth label with my handwriting) - Sixth label is my holotype card. The designation of the holotype is based on Wesmael's (I.e.) assertion "J'ai pris une seule femelle de cette espèce, ...". Description of the female holotype - Body 3 mm long. Head in dorsal view (Fig. 1) transverse, 1.76 times as broad as long, eye a bit longer than temple, latter rounded, oc­ciput moderately excavated. Ocelli small and almost round, OOL twice as long as POL. Eye in lateral view 1.8 times as high as wide and somewhat wider than temple, temple ventrally somewhat narrowing (Fig. 2). Malar space about one-fifth shorter than basal width of mandible. Horizontal breadth of oral opening twice as long as shortest distance between opening and eye. Face twice as wide as high. Head polished. - Antenna dam­aged: right antenna with scape and pedicel, left antenna with 16 antennomeres. Mesosoma in lateral view 1.3 times as long as high. Notaulix almost indistinct. Meso­soma polished. - Middle left leg damaged, coxa and first trochanter present. Hind femur 4.2 times as long as broad medially. Hind basitarsus as long as hind tarsomeres 2-3 combined. Fore wing somewhat longer than body. Pterostigma (Fig. 3) 2.3 times as long as wide, issuing radial vein proximally from its middle; rl clearly shorter than width of ptero­Figs 1-8. - Figs 1-6.
