Sculpture and pubescence: Body impunctate, shining with general oily lustre and covered with silvery pubescence. Male - Not found. Holotype - Female, Sikkim, Mangan, 2000 m, 16. 5. 1993. Paratype-None. Distribution - India, Sikkim. Diagnostic combination - N. maculipodus sp. n. is distinct from the rest of the species discussed under this genus on the basis of a characteristic colour pattern of body; scape slightly longer than its apical width; pedicel as long as its apical width; malar space of the diameter of median ocellus; supraantennal pit insignificant; post-, inter- and circumocellar furrows distinct; lateral furrows indicated only behind lateral ocelli, etc. Etymology - The species name pertains to the broad blackish spots on the legs. Nematus brunniventris sp. n. (Figs 3, 9, 14, 19, 22) Female - Colour: Body fulvous, black are: antenna more or less; head above clypeus except temple and narrow hind orbits; a squared spot on mesonotal middle lobe leaving anterolateral margin and sagittate apex; mesonotal lateral lobe except inner and posterior margin; a spot on anterior tip of mesoscutellum; anterior margin of mesepimeron; mesosternum; lower half of metepisternum; entire metepimeron more or less; entire ovipositor sheath. Legs fulvous except apical tip of hind tibia and entire hind tarsi which are more or less fuscous. Wings hyaline; venation including costa, subcosta and stigma piceous. Structure: Average length 5.5 mm. Antenna long, 2.7 times head width; scape longer than its apical width; pedicel half the length of its apical width; segment 3 shorter than 4 as 6:7; clypeus (Fig. 3) roundly incised up to 1/3 of its medial length; labrum broader than long as 3:2, with slightly deflexed rounded anterior margin; LID:IDMO:EL = 5:5:3; malar space 1.2 times the diameter of median ocellus; postgenal carina absent; hind orbits not carinated; supraclypeal area triangularly raised; supraclypeal pit deep and prominent; supraantennal pit shallow; frontal area raised above the level of eyes; supraantennal tubercles insignificant and confluent with slightly indicated frontal ridges; median fovea in the form of shallow pit in anterior half and in the form of broad depressed area with flat bottom in front of median ocellus; postocellar furrows distinct; lateral furrows shallow and ending slightly before hind margin of head; postocellar area subcon-
