No. 1647. Prov. South Kangwon, about 20 km NW of Chuncheon, Jiam-ri, cca 700 m, 127°XX'E, 37°XX'N, 23.10.1993. A deep, montane brook-valley with various types of forest habitats. Lepidoptera collected by sugar-baits, at a white screen illuminated by a 125 W mercury vapour lamp and by two portable light-traps; 19-23.20 h. Noctuidae: Antivaleria viridimacula, Conistra castaneofasciata. No. 1648. Prov. South Kangwon, Chuncheon, University campus, 127°40'E, 37°55'N, 24.10.1993. A specimen of Lygephila recta was found sitting on the wall of the building of the Center for Insects Systematics. No. 1649. Prov. South Kangwon, vie. of Chuncheon, Chuncheon-Dam, cca 400 m, 127°40'E, 37°55'N, 24.10.1993. A steep rocky slope covered by dry, warm, partly shrubby mixed forests near an artificial lake. Lepidoptera collected with sugar-baits, a white screen illuminated by 125 W mercury vapour lamp and by two portable light-traps; 17.50-23.10 h. Noctuidae: Diarsia canescens, Pseudaletia separata, Xylena farmosa, Eupsilia (Orbona) fragariae, Antivaleria viridimacula, Sugitania lepida, Mniotype satura, Conistra castaneofasciata, Telorta acuminata, T. edentata, T. divergens. Prov. Cheju, Halla-san National Park, cca 1000 m, 126°00'E, 33°15'N, 27.10.1993. A mixed decicuous forest with dense, often bushy herbaceous vegetation, understory dominated by Sasa sp. (bamboo). Lepidoptera collected by sugar baits, a white screen illuminated by a 125 W mercury vapour bulb and by two portable light traps; 17.50-23.30. Noctuidae: Diarsia deparca, Xylena farmosa, Lithophane venusta, Dryobotodes pryeri, Antivaleria viridimacula, Mniotype melanodonta, Conistra grisescens, Telorta acuminata, T. edentata, Arete coerulea. No. 1654. Same locality and data, other Arthropods (Dipl., Chil., Di., Col., Hym., Tr.) collected at light and by light-traps. No. 1655. Prov. Cheju, Halla-san National Park, Songpanak, cca 750 m, 126°XX'E, 33°15'N, 28.10.1993. A mixed, old decicuous forest with dense herbaceous vegetation. Lepidoptera at a white screen illuminated by a 125 W mercury vapour bulb placed under the roof of a souvenir shop at the edge of the National Park; 18-23 h. There was a heavy rainfall and very strong SW wind during the day and the whole night but the temperature was over 15 degrees centigrade.
