Noctuidae: Agrotis ipsilon, Hermonassa cecilia, Diarsia deparca, D. canes­cens, D. pacifica, Dictyestra dissectus, Mythimna separata, Leucania ?inse­cuta, Xylena f ormosa, Conistra grisescens, Telorta acuminata, T. edentata, Amphipyra livida corvina, Athetis stellata, Spodoptera litura, Thysanoplusia intermixta, Acanthoplusia agnata, Lagoptera juno, Artena dotata, Arete coerulea, Lacera procellosa, Anomis mesogona, Oraesia excavata, Hypocala deflorata, Aedia leucomelas, Hypena sp. (lindicatalisT). No. 1656. Prov. Cheju, Halla-san National Park, cca 1100 m, 126°00'E, 33°15'N, 30.10.1993. A mixed decicuous forest with bushy Sasa vegetation and rich in other herbaceous plants. Two specimens of Arete coerulea were found rest­ing in an emergency house. (Remnants of some other species resting or aesti­vating regularly in such buildings (e.g. Orthogonia sera, Amphipyra schren­ckii, A. erebina, A. livida corvina) were also observed here. No. 1657. Prov. Cheju, Halla-san National Park, cca 1300 m, 126°00'E, 33°15'N, 30.10.1993. The border zone between the mixed decicuous forests and the mixed evergreen (pine) forests; the underwood vegetation is similar to that of the lower forest belt. Various arthropods and worms collected from litter and from beneath stones and trunks. No. 1658. Same site, moss and soil samples (four different items) were taken from mosses, detritus, litter and upper layers of soil. No. 1659. Prov. Cheju, Cheju City, sea-shore, 30.10.1993. Isopoda and Mollusca col­lected on moist stone surfaces and small lithotelms. No. 1660. No. 1653. Prov. Cheju, Halla-san National Park, cca 1100 m, 126°00'E, 33°15'N, 30.10.1993. A mixed decicuous forest with dense, often bushy her­baceous vegetation dominated by Sasa sp. Lepidoptera collected by sugar baits, a white screen illuminated by a 125 W mercury vapour bulb and by two portable light traps operating with 6 W UV-tubes; 17.50-21.30. Noctuidae: Antivaleria viridimacula. No. 1661. Same locality and data, Diptera and Heteroptera collected at light. No. 1662. Prov. South Cholla, Mt. Paekun-san, at the vicinity of the pass towards to the Mts Chirisan, 800-860 m, cca 3 km NNW of Nonshil, 31.10.1993. Collect­ings under barks, from beneath stones and trunks (Dipl., Chil., Het, Hym.). No. 1663. Prov. South Cholla, Mt. Paekun-san, at the vicinity of Nonshil, cca 550-600 m, 31.10.1993. A deep, narrow brook valley and its less steep slopes covered with rich, mixed deciduous forests. Various insect groups (Lep., Tr., Col., Hym., Derm.) collected by sugar baits, a white screen illuminated by a 125 W mercury vapour bulb and by two portable light traps operating with 6 W UV-tubes; 17.50-04.15 h. Noctuidae: Eupsilia (Orbona) fragariae, E. quadrilinea, Xylena farmosa, L. ustulata, Jodia sericea, Sugitania lepida, Hemiglaea costalis, Meganephria (Belosticta) funesta, Antivaleria viridimacula, Conistra albipuncta, C. ardes­cens, C. grisescens, C. filipjevi, Telorta acuminata, T. edentata, 77. divergens.
