Sandanella sikkimensis sp. n. (Figs 491-499) Type material. - Holotype male: Sikkim, Rumtek, 1700 m, lamp domes, 1990, I. Dworakowska (in SMTD). - Paratypes: 1 F, same data as the holotype; 1 M, 1 F, Gangtok, 1650 m, 2. Ill; 1 F, W Sikkim, Pelling, 2000 m, 11. Ill; 2 F, Geizing, 1700 m, 12. in. 1991,1. Dworakowska (in SMTD and NMNH). Head more produced in female than in male. Vertex and upper side of thorax yellowish; patches marked with squared pattern in Fig. 494, blackish, those less darkened, dark brown; central streak and hind margin of pronotum milky grey. Face of male broadened ventrally, in both sexes brownish-black ventrally (up to lower 2/3 of frontoclypeus). Two brown transverse fasciae, incomplete centrally, one at the level of bases of antennae and another at ventral border of ivory transition vertex to face. Small areas on outer parts of genae below eyes whitish or yellowish. A brown patch in the midline at the very apex of vertex (Fig. 494). Fore wing whitish. Two large reddish-brown patches and one small (one on clavus, other in cua, the 3rd on M, marked with dense transverse striation in Fig. 495), and others dark brown to grey-brownish (marked with oblique striation in Fig. 495). Wax-field (at least costally) bright ochre-yellow. Apical part of c ochre-yellow; terminal parts of CuA, M and R, as well as transverse veins, yellowish. Length M 2.7 and 2.8, F 2.7-2.9 mm. Comparison. Male genitalia differ equally from all three known species. The most characteristic is penis structure. Penis stem tubular, narrow in terminal 3/4, bearing large latero-ventral lamellate apical appendages branched basally (Figs 496, 498); basal 1/4 of penis stem sharply broadened ventrally; dorsal apodeme large. Upper pygofer appendage (Fig. 493) lamellate, resembling that of S. sierpniowa Dwor. Paramere (Figs 491, 492) with small praeapical extension and tapering apex. Subgenital plate (Fig. 491) resembling that of S. indica Dwor. Seriana definita sp. n. (Figs 500-505) Type material. - Holotype male: Sikkim, Singtam, 30. X. 1981, C. A. Viraktamath (in BMNH). - Paratype: F, same data as the holotype (in BMNH). Other material. Specimens that match the features of the single female from Singtam: 4 F, Rumtek, 1700 m, lamp domes, 1990; 1 F, Gangtok, N H-wy, 1800 m, Artemisia, 3. Ill; 2 F, Labrang, 1800-2000 m, forest floor, 8. III; 1 F, W Sikkim, Geizing, 1550 m, Artemisia, 12. ffl. 1991,1. Dworakowska. Comparison. Externally almost undistinguishable from S. indefinita Dwor. from China and S. collina Dwor. from NE India. The new species differs from the former by lighter colouration of upper side of vertex and thorax (the light fascia along the hind margin of pronotum was not shown in illustration at the original description), and by lighter colouration of fore wing from the latter (c cell in the new species is pale apically). Length M 3.4, F 3.3 mm. Male genital apparatus resembles S. indefinita the most, differing only in penis structure. In the new species penis stem is slimmer, dorsal extension consists of a well defined tooth and the ventral extension is very small (Fig. 502). In S. indefinita penis
