Solenidium e not discernible in solenidial group of leg I. o)i short, shorter and thinner than tpi, leg II with wi longer and thicker than (pi. Solenidion tpi on all legs short, except on leg I longer than the half length of tarsus I. Material examined: Holotype: Assiut, Egypt, extracted from banana suckers, 15.07.1992. 14 paratypes: from the same sample. Holotype and 10 paratypes deposited in Plant Protection Department, Assiut University and 4 paratypes in the Arachnoidea Collection of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest. Remarks: The new species stands very near to the type species of the genus Hormosianoetus Fain, 1980, from Switzerland on Drosophila bred. The new species may be distinguished from it by the following characters: aeschlimanni Fain, 1980 1. Hysterosoma and dorsosejugal 1. region ornamented by equal great pits arranged in longitudinal rows. 2. Epimere 3 without any structure. 2. mahunkai sp. n. Hysterosoma ornamented by longitudinal lines, regular along the surface. Dorsosejugal region with striate, extending in breadth. Epimere 3 with alveoli. 3. Suctorial plate with 2 pairs of conoids, 3. epimere 4 also with conoids. 4. Notogaster without any 4. irregular structure. We dedicate the new species to Dr. S. Mahunka (Hungary) Suctorial plate normal developed epimere 4 with well-developed disks. Notogaster with one pair of porelike structure on the anterolateral region.
