Head transverse quadrangular, finely and densely reticulated; punctuation indistinct. Clypeus wide and flattened. Eyes weakly convex, barely shorter than temple. Temples bordered over their whole length. Antennae moderately long, barely widening toward apex. Antennái segments II and III subequal in length; segment IV shorter than segment III; segments IV-X barely transverse, at most 1.3 times wider than long; segment XI large, as long as segments IX and X combined. Pronotum transverse quadrangular, 1.2-1.3 times wider than long, widest at middle, arcuately narrowing toward apex and base; basal margin arched; posterior angles rounded. Reticulation of pronotum similar to that of head; punctuation distinct and weakly filed. Hairs of pronotum directed rearwards at longitudinal midline and directed obliquely rearwards and toward lateral margin elsewhere. Inclined lateral margin of pronotum visible at lateral aspect. Elytra approximately parallel-sided, longer than pronotum; suture as long as pronotum. Reticulation and punctuation of elytra as those of pronotum. Posterior margin of elytra almost straight; outer posterior angles emarginate (Fig. 4.). Abdomen approximately parallel-sided; tergites finely and densely reticulated; punctuation scattered and weakly filed; pubescence scattered. Abdominal tergites III—V with transversal impression at base. Hind part of tergites VII and VIII with numerous, barely prominent, longish, small warts situated longitudinally. Posterior margin of tergite VII narrowly bordered by a pellicle. Posterior margin of tergite VIII straight and finely serrated. Posterior margin of sternite VIII rounded. Legs moderately long; tarsal formula 4, 5, 5. Median lobe of aedeagus: Figs. 5-6. Length: 3.4 mm. Type material: holotype (male): Hung., Bükki N. P., Felsőtárkány, Tar-kő, 900 m, 77lio-Fraxinetum excelsioris, talajcsapdázás [pitfall trapping], 1983. X 4., leg. Ádám L. The type is deposited in the Zoological Department of the Hungarian Natural History Museum. This species possesses very characteristic features, and thus, it may be easily separated from the similar Dinaraea linearis or from any other European Dinaraea species. The temples of those species are not bordered over their whole length, as well as the pattern of the pronotal pubescence is distinctive. Literature Benick, G. and Lohse, G. A (1974): 14.
