ROVARTANI KÖZLEMÉNYEK L ' 1589 p. 147.156 Locality data of the Trichoptera collection originating from the Carpathian Basin in the Hungarian Natural History Museum By S. U.-NÓGRÁDI (Received JUMTJ 10, 1989) Abstract: Locality data of the Carpathian Basin Trichoptera collection in Hungarian Natural History Museum - The collection includes 2243 males and 1486 females of 136 species. Of them 122 species were collected in Hungary, the others only out of the recent territory of the country. The Remetey's material constituted the basis of this collection. One species, Paroecetis strucki Klap. (Leptoceridae) proved to be new for the Hungarian fauna. The Trichoptera collection of Hungarian Natural History Museum (HNHM) ' includes 3729 specimens (2243 males and 1486 females). This pinned material is deposited in 24 boxes. The basis of this collection is Paul Remetey's material. Remetey was active as amateur entomologist and he collected mostly caddlsflies. His labelling was correct and the material contents relatively many species. The bulk of his material was collected around Veresegyház (20 km NE from Budapest), where he worked as the Stationmaster of the Hungarian State Railways. Sometimes he visited the vicinity: the Danube Bend, The Börzsöny Mountains, Budapest and its suburbs and get to collect to the Balaton Lake. Some specimens were taken by him in Austria, too, but these data are not presented in this paper. The period of his amateur activity lasts for about 25 years, in the second quarter of this century. The co-workers of HNHM collected several specimens mostly in the 50's and 60's. In the sixties many caddlsflies were selected from the material of light trap network of Forestry Research Institute and of agricultural pes ts forecast. These traps had not set up along waters therefore they captured only mobile species (mostly limnephilids, phryganeids and hydropsychids). In 1987- 1988 the Remetey's material was redetermined or checked. The other materials were determined and the collection was set up In 24 insect boxes. The HNHM Trichoptera collection of the Carpathian Basin consists of 136 species (122 of them derive from Hungary). Some species of this collection do not figured in the recent literature or they do rarely. Such species are Leptocerus interruptus Fabr., Sericostoma flavlcorne Schneider, Ero- tesis baltica McL., Athripsodes alblfrons L., Laslocephala basalts Kol., Limnephllus nigri- ceps Zett., Tinodes waeneri L., Cheu matopsyche lepida Plct. -
