deeply impressed; EI= 15: 15; length ratios of antenna! segments VIII to XI: 14: 15: 14: 19. 5; pronotum coarsely rugose laterally. Holotype, 8, labelled as follows: "NEW GUINEA: NE Wau, 12- 1600 m 9-II 1968"; "J. Sedlacek Collector BISHOP". It is deposited in BPBM. Paratypes (total 3 specimens): Morobe Province: Wau, 8. IX. 1968 [NGW-R. 19], I. Loksa (1 o., HNHM); id., 4000 ft., 1 - 3. VII. 1974, H.F. Howden (1 8, CNCI). - Madang Province: Finisterre Mts., Damanti, 3500 ft., 2-11,X. 1964, M.E. Bacchus (1 c-, BMNH). Remarks: On account of the rugose pronotal sides of female, this species is somewhat related to C. baloghi. The pronotum and ventral surface of C. loksai are reddish (black in baloghi), setae of intervals are numerous and long (few and short in baloghi) , punctural rows normal (disintegrating before apex in baloghi). This species is dedicated to Dr. I. LOKSA (Zoosystematical and Ecological Institute, Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest). Casnonidea dobodura sp. n. (Figs 38, 45) Body dark blackish brown; antennae, palps, tibiae and tarsi somewhat paler. Length: 10. 0- 10. 2 mm. 45 46 47 Figs 45-47. 45= Head of Casnonidea dobodura sp. n., 8. - 46= Elytral apex of C. caudata sp. n., o.. - 47= Abdominal apex of C. caudata sp. n., <j>, ventrolateral view 8. Head (Fig. 45) not broader than pronotum, largely impunctate; vertex moderately swollen, with longitudinal furrow distinct; EI= 18:7; antennae rather slender; segment length ratios: 10:5:11:11:12:13:12:12:13:12:23. Pronotum nearly as long as broad, widest in anterior 1/3; base a little narrower; surface glabrous, impunctate. Elytra with all punctural rows reaching apex; striai punctures rather coarse, contiguous; intervals faintly convex; paired intervals entirely glabrous; unpaired intervals with setigerous punctures scattered throughout whole length; interval I with 21, III with 19, V with 20, VII with 17, IX with 16. lateral side with 19 setigerous punctures; setae black, moderately long; elytral apex simply rounded. Legs with hairs short, suberect, a little finer than elytral setae. Last abdominal sternite simply rounded. Aedeagus: Fig. 38. g. EI= 18:8 (antenna! segments partly lost, on the single female).
